this week we got to go to the zoo for the first time for all of us. we had so much fun even though i said we went for bolton it was really mostly for me. bolton loved to watch the penguins because you could get eye level with the water and they kept swimming and playing right in front of us.

these are just a few pictures from this past weekend. we got to spend all of saturday night and sunday together which is pretty rare with toms work schedule and racing. we had so much fun just relaxing and spending time together.

the prys have this bear in there cabin and all the kids that come to visit get their picture taken by it. i cant wait to see bolton grow next to this bear every year.

i took bolton on our first road trip to washington to nonnie and papas cabin on davis lake when he was only five and a half weeks old. bolton was such a trooper on the 8 hour car ride and slept five hours everynight. i cant wait to spend many more summer vacations here.

the most amazing moment of my entire life.

left my house saturday morning with my mom thinking i would just have a nice relaxing day, came home tuesday afternoon with a baby!

ok so saturday morning i woke up at 5:45 am because tom had to go to work early and i being the amazing wife that i am wanted to make sure he had a good lunch for the day since he would probably be working long hours. after he left for work i took my shower, took an hour nap and got ready so mom could come pick me up and we could spend the day together. really it was like she was babysitting me which she has been doing just about every couple days for the last two weeks waiting for this kid to show up.
well, mom got here, we walked around the neighborhood garage sales, then went to kuna farmers maket. we went to walmart for a few groceries and then to my grandmas to have lunch with her and dick. finally we just went back to moms to spend the rest of the afternoon with my fat feet up on the couch and trying to rest. all thru this though i was having pretty good contractions but they were like 45 mins to 1 1/2apart so i really wasnt thinking anything about it. at 4:20 i got a pretty good contraction but fell asleep right after until 5:30 at which time i woke up with another big contraction still not thinking anything of it. after having another one 20 minutes later i still wasnt thinking anything of it. then i had one ten minutes later and then ten minutes after that and again and again and again. at about six thirty i called tom to tell him he might want to keep his phone close just in case we needed to go to the hospital. after another big one just like five minutes later i called him back and told him he better leave work go home clean up and feed the dogs. it might be a long night.
around 8:00pm or so my cousin came over to my moms and started to walk with me. we made it to the corner of fairview and back to my moms house and then started to walk around the culdesac and had a couple close contractions so we decided we should probably get ready to go to the hospital. after taking a cold shower and getting our bags together away we went to downtown st. lukes to see if we were having a baby or not. little did we know that it was the iron man race that night so thank god my cousin was driving in front of us because all the streets downtown were blocked off and we probably would have gotten lost.
after finally making it to the hospital at 10pm, we got signed in at triage and when they checked me i was at a 4.5. the nurse told me to walk for and hour and see if i could progress any more. after walking the whole floor mulitple times and many many painful contractions later they checked me again and i was at a 6 so they were able to admit me to labor and delivery.
once i got settled in my room, i started walking again and sat in the jacuzzi tub. by 3am or so things really started rolling but my water still had not broken. bolton decided he wanted to come out upside down (faceup) so after pushing on my hands and knees for a while he finally turned and i started pushing for reals around 5am. finally at 7:04am my little man decided to show his face and came into the world. he wieghed 8.5 lbs and was 21 in. long. the most amazing thing i have ever seen in my entire life. i love this little guy more than anything and even when we have bad nights and he decides to stay awake for hours on end, i couldnt imagine life without him. sorry tom but bolton is the best thing that has ever happened to me!!!

ok so i can have the worst nights sleep wake up at 5 am only to fall back to sleep 3 minutes before the alarm goes off at 7am. i could have the worst day at work, get yelled at by cranky customers in the drivethru, be the only one working while everyone else stands around chatting and take the last customer with piles of change to count. i could come home to a messy house, not get to sit down for the first hour im home, do loads of laundry, sinksful of dishes, and have to wash a muddy dog, but as soon as i do get to stop and sit down, it all goes away. i feel this little man move around inside me and he makes everything bad, all my grumpy feelings and all my bad moods just go away, and hes not even born yet!!!! i cant wait to see how he makes me feel when i can actually hold him.

okay so this whole blogging thing is new to me and well i thought i would just give it a try. so here it goes.....

as most of you know, we are having a baby in june, pretty scary! some days i cant wait and am totally ready and other days i think what in the world are we getting into. not to mention the whole there is a human growing inside of me. its like sometimes i kinda forget that we're having a baby then he moves or i look at his ultra sound picture and its like it all hits me again. there is an actual human in me and in just 4 short months he will come out and meet us and we will be responsible for him.....forever!!! i know it will all be worth while in the end and i think most of these feelings are just hormones and nerves but come on, it is a little scary.

on the other hand i cant wait to meet my little man bolton. i cant wait to hold him and cuddle him, just to watch him sleep seems exciting to me. i cant wait to show him off. see him grow and dream about his future. its all so crazy. there is so much ahead for this little man inside me and so much ahead for our family. i cant wait to see where it all will take us.
